How does one week, or 168 hours, go by sooooooooo quickly???? I hope that you had a lot of down time during your break. We are ready to ROCK 4th quarter and let the fun begin! Monday Mtg-Stephanie will be sharing information regarding our book study. We will begin promptly at 3:30 in the library Tuesday Election-WS will be a polling location for the March 15th primary election. This will take place in the gymnasium. We should have security on the property during school hours. PLEASE PARK IN THE BACK PARKING SPOTS. This ensures that there is ample parking for those who are voting. Grade Level Meetings-We will be meeting in my office during your plan time on Tuesday. Please make sure that you have filled out your 3rd quarter DRA levels on the spreadsheet. We will look over these and discuss recommended summer school for students reading below grade level. Wednesday Mtg-Dr. Medlin and Central Office staff will be presenting information about our upcoming bond issue on the April ballot. We will meet at 3:45 in the library. The meeting should last 15-20 minutes. Monday, March 21st Conferences- All certified staff will need to work until 7:00 on Monday, March 21st. You need to attempt to meet face to face with any family of a student struggling academically or behaviorally. You do not need to meet face to face with all parents. However, you will need to communicate this to parents. Parents may want to meet with you and you should make that available.
NO MORE MONEY April 1st!!! You will not be able to request PO's or money after April 1st. It takes about that long to get books accurate for the end of the year for all outstanding PO's. Summer School Info: Be thinking about whether you want to teach summer school or not. The dates are May 31st-June 24th and the pay is $3200. I will be the administrator at WOHE and Melinda Miller will be working at WN. We will have an online registration form this year. I will have more information to you after I meet with Mr. Pratt on Monday afternoon. Principal and Teacher surveys: It's that time of the year to fill out surveys:)
Thoughts about these surveys....#1 Do NOT freak out! I actually appreciate the feedback you guys have given me over the years. Even the feedback that is hard to hear has helped me to try harder and do better. You will always have a parent or student that doesn't click with your style. There is just no way that I have found to make everyone happy. Most importantly I want you to learn and reflect from your results. If you notice a theme coming back to you each year, you should reflect on that to improve. Most of what I notice are positive comments and results. I am pretty sure the good far outweighs the bad on these surveys. MAP Training - Since we have school on Monday March 28 will have district-wide MAP training at the HS theater again. Everyone giving the MAP MUST attend this training. I will also make contact with some other teachers to attend the training for subs if needed. District Growth hours - PLEASE make sure you are putting your hours in TalentEd for district growth. These hours are required. These are due by the end of the year. Comments are closed.
