Week at a glance.....
Monday
One of the speakers that I heard at my conference last week was Will Bowen. He has written several books and talked about one called A Complaint Free World. It was a very interesting concept about actually living life and STOP COMPLAINING! It hit home because I started to really listen to the words that I was speaking. WOW...talk about self-reflection! The main reason people complain is to GRIPE! (Get attention, Remove Responsibility, Inspire envy, Power, Excuse poor performance) His concept, using a purple bracelet, is to be cognizant of what you say. If you complain you need to move the bracelet from one wrist to the other. The goal is to be complaint free for 21 consecutive days. So, give it a try....you might be amazed at what words and message you are sending to others.
