Monday Meeting-Action Teams will meet after school today. No Grade Level Meetings-Tomorrow, we will not have an official grade level team meeting but ask that you please revisit the reading strategies doc that we worked on during several weeks ago! Please highlight two strategies that you feel would best support your students within their specific DRA Band. Be thinking about high-leverage strategies that will support your students in obtaining a year's growth in reading! We will be discussing this next week during grade level meetings. Monday Meeting-Our Leadership Environment Action Team will have a teambuilder for our entire staff at 3:30 in the library. This will be followed by a Lighthouse Team meeting. Picture Retake Day-Tuesday is picture retake day in the learning space. You will need to send all new students and those who need retakes at the scheduled time below.

BrightBytes Technology Survey-You will be receiving an email from Janetta Garton explaining a survey called BrightBytes. This is a survey that ALL Willard staff will be taking this week. All 3rd and 4th graders will also be taking the survey on their chromebooks. (see email from me about the student survey) This survey is about technology access and learning. Janetta's email will have the link to complete the survey and more details. We are scheduled to take the survey on Monday after school. However, you have until the 21st to complete the short survey. LEAD Meeting-I will be out of the building for a few meetings on Wednesday. I have LEAD team at Central Office in the morning and a SWMAESP meeting in Springfield in the afternoon. Veteran´s Day Assembly-This Thursday is a BUSY day for our building. Please make sure you have read all of the emails from our Action Team regarding details of the special assembly. End of the Month Awards-We will celebrate our November MVT and special class awards on Friday, December 1st. Our December awards will be presented on Wednesday, December 20th due to our holiday break. Priority Standards-The curriculum department and a few administrators attended a Marzano conference in Colorado last month regarding priority standards. This is great news for our district and the direction we will be making to create priority standards in all content areas. Dr. Templeton will be sending out an email to our staff regarding this process and the work that will begin at the end of November. We will have reps in all grade levels for ELA, MATH and SCIENCE. |
