Fall Parties-We will have Fall classroom parties on Friday, October 16th. This is a half day for students. Classroom teachers will be in charge of their own parties. I will be sending out a message to parents via SeeSaw, Facebook and email informing parents of the date and asking for a $2 donation to help cover supplies. We do NOT have homeroom parents this year. If you do not receive enough money to buy supplies for your party, please feel free to reach out to a few parents for food and party supply donations. Monday Meeting-Our Lighthouse Team will be meeting in the library at 3:30 today. Please feel free to add items to our AGENDA and read the minutes after the meeting.

I have scheduled a couple of meetings in the afternoon. Special class teachers will have a SeeSaw training from 1:00-1:30 and our Lighthouse Team will meet from 1:30-2:30. Instructional Excellence-If you signed up to participate in IE this year, I will be sharing your IE template and allotted hours with you this week. These will need to be filled out by Friday. Teacher Observation Calendar-I have created a calendar for walk-through observations this year. This is to keep me accountable for observations and to give you a heads up that I will be in your room sometime during that week. My goal is to follow up with a quick face to face meeting and/or email after your walk-throughs. Please make sure that your lesson plans are completed in advance in planbook.com and/or have a copy on your desk. HERE IS THE LINK TO THE CALENDAR! (link sent Friday also) Monday Meeting-Join us as 3:30 via Google Meet using the name WSFaculty. Sarah will be sharing information with us on trauma. Instructional Excellence-If you are interested in participating in Instructional Excellence this year, please add your name only to the 1st SEMESTER MASTER LIST OF IE PARTICIPANTS spreadsheet by Friday, September 18th. I will then share a plan for you to complete with the number of allotted hours for 1st semester. These plans will be due September 25th. Below are some REMINDERS.
Grade Level Meetings-We will meet via Google Meet on Tuesday during your plan time. We will be discussing SeeSaw. LEAD Meeting-I will be out of the building on Wednesday from 8:30-? attending a LEAD meeting at Central Office. FRIDAY is PAYDAY-No explanation needed!!! :) You could not have asked for better weather this weekend! I hope everyone enjoyed some much needed rest and family time. Social Distancing-I have learned a LOT over the past week...and still learning! The most important lesson is following social distancing. If you are closer than 6' for 15 minutes or longer, you are putting yourself and others at risk for being exposed and/or quarantined. Please make sure you are staying 6' apart from others in the classroom, at recess, lunch, car duty, etc. It is getting extremely difficult to find coverage for classrooms. We need everyone to do their part and help ensure we stay in school. Special Class Schedule-Due to the lack of subs again this week, we will be using this modified SPECIAL CLASS SCHEDULE . NWEA Testing-Just a reminder that the testing window starts this week. Here is a copy of the NWEA SCHEDULE. Laurissa and I will be around to help if needed. Google Meet-It has been great to see some of you experimenting with Google Meet with your students. If you have not tried it out using a Chromebook and/or iPad, you might try it this week. Students will need to log in using their email addresses. If you would like some help, just let me know. Grade Level Meetings-We will NOT be meeting this week due to NWEA testing. |
