I am so thrilled with all of the Christmas cheer that I hear and see at school! I want to thank everyone for participating in our WAK'n activity. It has been so much fun to read all of the emails and see all of the creative gifts. You are truly amazing!!
Below is a glimpse of our adventures for next week..... JEANS-How about an extra jeans day...or more for next week! YEP, enjoy wearing jeans all of next week. (except Friday....it's PJ day) :) :) :) :) MONDAY--No meetings! You can work on Mastery Connect. TUESDAY
WEDNESDAY--I will be out of the building in the morning due to Admin meeting at Central Office. THURSDAY
FRIDAY--Busy Day!
Mastery Connect Updates-I found out some interesting facts regarding "opening and closing the window". When we actually "open" the window, the only thing that teachers can enter is comments, DRA levels and behavior expectations on the report card. The data that is entered is actually captured at the moment we "open" the report card. This means that any data you enter after we "open" the window will NOT be part of the % in the report that quarter. INTERESTING!!! Below are dates for you to follow regarding 2nd quarter report cards.
Instructional Excellence-Just a reminder that you need to complete your 1st semester paperwork by DECEMBER 18th. I need to compile the information and send it to Central Office by the 19th. WOW...what a great Thanksgiving break! I hope you enjoyed every minute and are ready to face the next three weeks ahead. WE CAN DO IT!
Monday Mtg-Our two School Resource Officers will be talking to our staff about intruder procedures/safety in the library from 3:30-4:00. CAP Mtg-The Science CAP team will meet at the District Office training room on Tuesday. Grade Level Mtgs-Linda and I will meet with everyone on Thursday this week in my office. We will be discussing the Smarter Balanced Digital Library and online assessments. Make-It Take-It Night-Don't miss our annual event this Thursday evening from 6:00-7:30. WAK-This time of year can get pretty stressful due to extra events, traveling, shopping, cooking.....Sometimes we forget the importance of showing our appreciation for others and all of their efforts. I will be placing five Willard Acts of Kindness (WAK) cards in your mailboxes this week. All I ask if for you to show five people in our building appreciation by filling out the card (no need to sign your name---unless you want to), give them something meaningful, and deliver it to them by December 19th. This does NOT have to cost you anything! The purpose of this activity is to pay it forward and to show others how much you appreciate all that they do! See my examples below:
